How to take effective photos

Today in our meeting we talked about how to take more effective photos. We came up with these important points:
* Make sure at least one part of your photo is 'in focus'.
* Make sure the lighting is sufficient for you to take a clear photo.
* Use the 'rule of thirds'. You can read more about the 'rule of thirds' at this link: Rule of Thirds
* Try to capture moments rather than pose people (unless you are taking portrait photos)

Can you think of any more ideas for us?

We then went around the school and captured some photos of things around the school and of kids having fun. We have tried to use the list we came up with above to make our photos more effective.
